My typical hunt is very frustrating. When you are the one that has the rights to hunt it is difficult when you hunt with others. This is the situation I face each weekend. I have to figure out where to put people, and then I have to figure out where I am going to sit.
I usually end up putting the others in the better spots, but not on purpose. I think long and hard about what stand to sit. Then I place them accordingly.
This weekend it all worked out in my favor. I was able to shoot a great 11 point on Saturday morning. The big boys haven't started chasing, but the smaller bucks are running wild. A few of them squared up on each other to lay claim to a few does. It was an exciting sit each time I went out. It seemed like I sat the right place every time. I love it when a plan comes together.
I have one buck tag left and will hold onto it like a golden ticket until a big dude steps out.
I am just a regular outdoor PR dude with tremendous hair. Life has turned out pretty spectacular. When you have a wife and son like mine life just seems to get better each day. They are the light in a dark room, and the standard which all others things compared fall short. Julie, is an accomplished mom and author. Jett, well, is a typical four year old with tremendous hair. The outdoors is where I find my peace. This blog should reflect that.

Life of a Traveler
It is tough to a traveler. I miss my family most of all when I am on the road. It is tough to imagine the guys and gals that are on the road constantly. I don't know how they do it? When I am on the road a little part of me wants to think that Julie and Jett don't know how to get through without me, but Julie is so good she gets by without a hiccup. It is good to be home with my family, and I don't see travel in my future till at least mid-December.
But of course, that doesn't include hunting over the weekends.
